Dete planned was perfect enough to make Hiver can get away from the police,but they need to do it quickly before the police arrived and arrested Hiver. Dete said that he have a brilliant plan in his mind, they planning to ran away (that's the best thing anyway, they would not wait to think of another brilliant plan. using Hiver's car, they will use the inner road that lead them to a short curt to the airport. Taking all the savings, they might be spend their night on a motel. But, the real plan was, the car will pass by a chasm before the shortcut and they will get out from the car, Hiver will took a knife and have their blood a bit on the car and pushed the car into the hollow chasm. They will find a motel nearby and registered as a different person, next morning, the news of their death maybe has spread and the police will closed the case file and stopped searching Hiver. then, it was really safe for them to go to the airport.
Hiver packing his stuff, and Dete told that he would go to the store room, taking his magic box. Hiver pondered for a moment, how about his dad and Uncle Jack? Dete and he agreed that this plan should knew by themselves and for their parents, they will leave a note stating that they will run away (they didn't tell Jack and Hofman about their plan to pretend dead in an accident). Hiver felt a bit guilty towards his dad and Uncle Jack. But, this only a temporary, when the time is come, he will appear again,arise to defend himself and to clean his name from the accusation. For now, he need to get away of all this and wait until the situation is calm then he will decided what will happen. Maybe...
Dete arrived with his stuff packed in a bag pack and holding the magic box, he was ready and prepared. Hiver took out the 'goodbye, we're running away, take care.' note and put it on the dining table. Then, they left.
For the last time, Hiver and Dete took a glimpse of their apartment and their father's shadows...
The dew started to drop really fast and they've arrived at the chasm. Hiver and Dete quickly went out from the car, they took all of their stuff and Dete have a tools for changing the puncture tyre in his hands. He placed the tool on the behind tyres, after that, he pulled the rod and the car moved itself, fell into the chasm perfectly as they wanted. 5 minutes later, the car exploded and...
"give me five!" Dete and Hiver left the place and find a nearest motel before they started a new day with a new identity and left Pantagonia...
Jack read the notes louder so that Hofman can hear it too. after that, they were speechless. Didn't know what they should do. Should they remain quiet or tried to find their son as soon as possible before the police found them? Suddenly, the door was knocked. Jack arose.
"maybe the kids are back!" jack quickly opened the door but he found out that two tall police officer were standing in front of them.
"are you the relatives of Jack-Andre 'Dete' and Jamian 'Hiver' Hofman?" asked one of the officer. jack nodded, then Hofman joined the conversations.
"apparently, we've searching Jamian 'Hiver" Hofman and last night, a witness saw a car fell into a chasm. It was the suspect car. The car exploded and the body was crushed, but the blood was there and when we tested, it was them."
Jack looked at Hofman. His body was weak, he couldn't standing any longer...
"finally, they really get away from us." Hofman muttered.
Hiver and Dete walked through the thoroughfare after the airport. They didn't take a cab because they wanted to save the money for food and rent. they are now at Papricorn. Not really far from Pantagonia, just like neighbors country.This is enough after all of them in Pantagonia thought that they were dead. Now, they will stay there for a while and try to redeem the time...let the situation cool down and then they will decide when they will show up especially to Jack and Hofman. Hiver will defense himself, surely he needs some money to cover a good lawyer.
"here we are. Hiv. For temporary, when the time has come...we surely will bring our father, tell them that we're not dead yet." Dete stood beside Hiver.
"look, bro.. i really felt guilty because i drag you into this."
Dete smiled again, he shook his head and said never mind. For now, the things that they need to concern was to find a rent house.
At last, Dete and Hiver got themselves a room to rent, just small but it was enough for both of them. That evening, Hiver was out to buy some food and groceries. While Dete, unpack his stuff and he took the magic box. He smiled, some day...this things will be helpful. He also took out Hofman's magic hat, without Hiver or Hofman's knowing, he steal it last night before because he believe that one day, Hiver might need this to solve his problems. Dete kept all the magic stuff in a speacialized box and placed it under the bed. Then, he started to unpack clothing and so on...
Hiver finally showed up with his shopping stuff and place it on a small table. He took out the instant noodle and reached a container containing hot water. He prepared both for him and Dete, then he offered Dete to have a dinner.
"very well, i am starving." Dete said spontaneously and sat on the floor. He ate the first bite and quickly threw it back because it was hot and he can't take it. Hiver laughed at him and gave him tissue.
"if we ddin't find a job as soon as possible, your tongue might be blistered forever in your life." he still put some joke based on the incident. Dete was smiling and he admitted.
"you right. For this crucial time, we cannot be so choosy. We will take whatever job we get. When we have enough money, we go home and revealed the truth."
they agreed and continued their eating but this time Dete looked more cautions when he blew the smoking noodle before he ate it.
After almost a week, Dete and Hiver finally got the job as a car washer in a workshop at The Papricorn Main Town. Wearing a complete car washer uniform, they were determined, the fire in their eyes shining with a brave heart not to fail and...wash the cars. Dete looked quite okay but Hiver still adapting to it.
"what? you never wash you own car?" Dete tried to make a joke out of the awkward situation and Hiver gave him Dete's fake smile style.
"yea...that's funny when you smile like that." he pretend didn't notice that Hiver was mimicking him.
"what? i was copying your smile, your fake smile...look at this, when you didn't want to smile but you have to smile you will be like this..." Hiver made a funny face and tried as hard as he can to irritated Dete.
" i didn't smile like that, Hiv..." Hiver laughed and he blasts Dete with the pipe water,and Dete attacked him with the soap solution used to wash the car. They are all wet and tired after the child-like war and sat in a corner, resting.
"i was thinking, Hiv. If we stayed here longer, and try to collect our money, start some business and when we rich, we fetch our fathers...ask them to stay with us. Do you like it?" Dete looked at Hiver who still ran out his breath. He only nodded.
"why not? let's give them the comfort that they lost 15 years ago..."
They shaking hands and hugged each other. Now, let's get back to work!
The two men were so happy that day, they received their very first salary after weeks hardness and finally it's pay off that day. Dete was counting the money while they walking passed the main road. Hiver quickly held Dete's hand and he shook his head,
"it's not nice when you counting money in front of public, maybe someone will rob us, who know?" Hiver warned him. Dete quickly realize his mistakes and when he reach his pocket, a woman, running towards them, hit them and took the money too! Mesmerized or surprised, Dete and Hiver was speechless...
