All of Javier's men surrounded Dete and Hiver. Every moves was very cautious now. One of Javier's men attacked them on right side, Dete nearly lost it but Hiver protecting Dete and fought them. The war has begun and they were both struggling to protect each other.
Javier stopped from enjoying the moment watching Dete and Hiver been beaten by his men. He moved to Autumn who already on the ground, he stared on her deeply and closer his face to hers.
"you can't run, not forever...and i'm here to kill you. It's so sad when thinking that you will be dead in this way, my love."

-------The Magician------ Autumn's Freedom
Javier looked at his diamond brand new watch. It's 1245 am already and the two guys still didn't show up. He was quite doubtful with how they would do the work that has been given. Autumn is hard, stubborn, firm and everything that wasn't easy. She would not easily beaten by those two guys, she would fight back, she would do anything to make sure that Javier won't find her again. Well, Autumn...it's not that easy. I swore, even if you went to deepest part of ocean, or have a shelter in a dragon's fiery mouth, i'll be there... to take you back with me. Because, you inly deserve to die on my hand...not someone else. I have determined, Autumn. You bitch betrayal!
Javier day-dream was interrupted by one of his men. He looked fiercely to the guy, but he still made himself brave and walked to his big boss. Giving an important information to Javier, shocking betrayal information.
"Dete and his friend, betrayed us. They took Autumn ran, or in order of more shocking terms, they save her from you, boss!" Javier stood from his chair spontaneously. His eyes were big, stared deeply to his man. He cursed Dete and Hiver, slowly. Then, he took his riffle, checking the bullets and ordered all of them to track the betrayals.
"they think they good?!" the van that took Javier, began to move with it's maximum speed, broken the silence of the cold night.
Dete with mix feelings, drive the car, they still got no where place to go. They knew that Javier has already know about this and he must busy, non-stop searching three of them. Hiver who quite for long time, voice up.
"Autumn, do you know where is a place that he could not track us?" he turned his head at back seat and saw Autumn, still frightening but she still can talk. Autumn shook her head.
"i can't think of anything right now." she then, bowed her head back.
Hiver was looking at Dete, hoping that his best friend can figured out a place, hidden from Javier. But, Dete also shook his head.
"let's find a cheap inn and spend the night there, and...we run the next day." Hiver gave his suggestion. Dete smiled (fake)
"we run again? i don't agree... Hiv, how many times more that require both of us become a refugee? We came to Papricorn, ran from Pantagonia, we came to Pantagonia, ran from Mundas and now what? And, we did it just because a woman?"
Autumn heard the talk and she immediately felt guilty and a bit sad with Dete. Hiver sighed. He understand but he cannot leave Autumn, facing Javier.
"Dete, i just want to help her. You surely doesn't want her get killed! This is important, Dete...maybe you can lodge a police report!"
"No way! A police report? Hiv, Javier is a very famous, rich person, there's no way that police could take that, he can easily bribe them, so what's the point?"
The conversation ended there. Neither Hiver or Dete could speak more, if they were, then they must ended it with a fight of a big debate. Autumn who sat at back-seat, looking through the car window and saw a very long dark night coming up.
Finally, Dete found an inn nearest and decided that they should spend the night at the inn while figuring a way out from this situation. Before entering the room, Hiver came to Autumn, talked with her.
"don't worry, just sleep well, as long as i be with you, you got nothing to worry about." then, Hiver left her, slowly but he still looking at her although he has gone far from her. Autumn could give only a smile. She was mesmerized by Hiver's charm and calmness. He surely can handle her sometimes.
The next day...
Hiver woke up from his sleep, still sleepy but he qiuickly went to bathroom, washed his face and tooth before went outside the inn and looked for Dete. "I was looking for my friend, Dete. Did you see him?" he asked. Autumn shook her head and lifted her shoulder.
Then, Hiver made his move, offering Autumn to take a walk before they left the inn. Autumn agreed and both of them were heading to the inn's park.
"could you tell me a bit about yourself, what's make you snared with Javier?"

He felt uneasy about that, he afraid that Hiver has fallen for her. that's not good because he knew why Javier wanted Autumn so bad. He knew what kind of woman Autumn if she was willingly to become Javier's mistress and that kind of woman doesn't suit with Hiver at all. dete walked slowly to them, and sighing. Both of them looked surprised with Dete's presence.
"where are you, Dete?" Hiver asked him.

Autumn and Hiver looked strange, Hiver already suggested that but Dete was the person who objected it harshly. Saying that no point doing that.

After breakfast, Dete was ready to took out the car from the car park and asked Hiver with Autumn waited him in front of the main entrance of the inn.
Dete quickly walked to the car lot and he saw the same familiar car like the car the he drive now, he knew it was the same fashion and the same person owned it. His heart beat fast, without waiting any longer, he ran back to the main entrance and get his friends.
"Hiv!! They already here, Javier is here!"
Dete looked really anxious and quickly ran towards Autumn, so as Hiver. Both of them grabbed Autumn's arms and ran, avoiding from Javier but he already saw three of them tried to run and quickly he ordered his men to stopped them before they could get away.
Hiver realized that they have been chased by Javier's men but he wouldn't give up that easily, he must protect Autumn, so he fasten his steps as fast as he can but Autumn couldn't cope with the situation, she didn't usual to run really quick and she had to stop, begging Dete and Hiver to stop too.

------The Magician----- The Day Of All Meetings
Without waiting any longer, Dete and Hiver chased the woman, all together with 3 men who also was chasing the woman. They wondered, why so many people chasing her? Suddenly, she disappeared from the sight, through the brick wall. Hiver caught her hiding behind the wall and gave signs to Dete. Dete understood and they walked almost deliberately to the brick wall.
She held her breath, knowing that they still looked after her. Then, she realized that she held some money in her hand, maybe she was mistaken and took it from the man when she was trying to run away. Autumn put the money inside her purse and when she was convinced that they were not chasing her, Autumn slowly prepared her steps to go. Suddenly, Hiver attacked her from behind and closed her mouth with his hand while Dete blocking Autumn from ran away.
"Give me back the money!" Dete tried to be more harsh, as he felt awkward to do that to a woman. He never talked to a woman, much more to be rude with them but this woman was over her limit. And he couldn't believe that a woman can be a robber! Autumn struggled, tried to make Hiver let her go.
She collected all her might and raised her legs, kicking Dete who stood in front of her and her ankle hardly hit Hiver's ribs. Hiver screamed and because of the pain, both of his hands holding his ribs and Autumn got away. Dete arose and tried to chase her but the 3 men who also chasing the woman appeared from now where and stopped Dete from making another move.
"we need you, let's go." they took Dete and Hiver, loaded them in a black shining van and left the place.
They finally arrived at a building, nicely build with bricks and red in color. It looked almost an office to them. The 3 men who wore black tuxedo took them inside and placed them at the lobby. Minutes later, one of them came and took Dete and Hiver inside a room. There was a man, half bald,wearing spectacles, and plain t-shirt smiling towards them. Please sit, he said at first.
"you must be really amused, why i call both of you up?" he said again.
"my name is Javier Kielbasa. Please, don't be scare...i'm not going to hurt you guys. I just want to ask your help." Javier ordered one of his man to give them coffee. After the man left the room, Javier took out a briefcase and opened it. The content of the briefcase actually surprised Dete and Hiver. Money, so many money...that much money, they never saw it in their 25 years of life. Dete grinned.
"what can we do, Mr. Javier?" Hiver looked at Dete. He didn't think that Dete was agreed to help javier, moreover they didn't know what kind of job that man would offering.
Javier gave them a picture, a picture of a woman. They were quite surprised because the woman in the picture was the same woman who took their money. Dete and Hiver looked at each other. They knew this job wouldn't be an easy one. then, the looked was focusing to Javier. Javier nodded his head.
"Autumn Carpenters. A slut and an impostor. Such a genius wicked woman but she can't get away with me this time, her betrayal for me and she took all my money with her. Well, my boys already get the money but i still want her. Let's finish her."

She sat on a chair, put her purse on the dining table beside her. She remembered the money that she mistakenly took it from 2 men, and they were chasing her too to get their money back. But, she was rushing and there's no time for her to return them their money. Guilt has shrouded her heart and she hope that they would meet again.
The same night, Autumn was ready to leave the place. She packed all her clothes together with the other stuff on a baggage and then some jewelery, she put it on a butterfly-shape box. Suddenly, she got the feeling that someone was watching over her. Autumn looked through the window, in the darkness of the night, she saw two men, wearing black long jacket stood outside and looking really sharp at her apartment block. Autumn shivered, maybe Javier ordered his men to take her again. She quickly went to the front and stared at the door, waiting or figuring out something to blocking them from breaking-enter her house.
Minutes later,they've already in front of the door. Dete and Hiver knew it was locked, they knocked the door. The plan was not forcing too much, but if she was hard, then they would use the hard way too.
"Autumn, we know that you're inside the house! Now open up!" Dete knocked the door. No answer from the inside.
"look, if you doesn't want anyone get hurt, you better show up! Javier wants you, and make this job easier for us!" Dete said it again. Hiver just quiet and only stood beside him.
Autumn cannot bear it anymore, this is more than enough. She tried to ran through the window but she realized that it was too high, she might be end up her life if she jumped from the window. The knocking started to become harsh and loud, the door's lock almost loose and her heart was beat so fast, she cannot move to anywhere, she was stiffed and only stood there waiting for them to enter.
Finally, Dete and Hiver appeared. Autumn was speechless but then she found a strength and voice up. She took an umbrella as her weapon from them.
"look, please don't hurt me! you don't know that Javier is an animal. He was capable to do anything to me, if you guys bring me to him... i will die! please have mercy, i'm innocent, and how could you to assist him and let me dead? no..please, im begging you! Look, you're the guys that i took the money from you and i'm sorry, i was wrong, i mistakenly took it from you! i was rushing and i didn't realize that i took the money, but it was unintentionally!
Look, i still got the money!" Autumn moved to the dining table, she took her purse and gave it to Hiver. Hiver took it and he nodded to Dete.
"i think she's right, she was mistaken. She didn't spend it. Exactly the same amount when we had it the last time. Dete, i think we should let her go. Maybe, this is true. What are we doing is not right, we cannot assist someone to kill..."

Minutes later, one of them came and took Dete and Hiver inside a room. There was a man, half bald,wearing spectacles, and plain t-shirt smiling towards them. Please sit, he said at first.
"you must be really amused, why i call both of you up?" he said again.
"my name is Javier Kielbasa. Please, don't be scare...i'm not going to hurt you guys. I just want to ask your help." Javier ordered one of his man to give them coffee. After the man left the room, Javier took out a briefcase and opened it. The content of the briefcase actually surprised Dete and Hiver. Money, so many money...that much money, they never saw it in their 25 years of life. Dete grinned.
"what can we do, Mr. Javier?" Hiver looked at Dete. He didn't think that Dete was agreed to help javier, moreover they didn't know what kind of job that man would offering.
Javier gave them a picture, a picture of a woman. They were quite surprised because the woman in the picture was the same woman who took their money. Dete and Hiver looked at each other. They knew this job wouldn't be an easy one. then, the looked was focusing to Javier. Javier nodded his head.
"Autumn Carpenters. A slut and an impostor. Such a genius wicked woman but she can't get away with me this time, her betrayal for me and she took all my money with her. Well, my boys already get the money but i still want her. Let's finish her."
Dete shocked, finished? Meaning that, they have to kill? He quickly returned the briefcase back to Javier. Javier looked a bit confused and then he laughed.
"your mission is to bring her to me. And the other stuff, don't bother, i know what i should do after i got her. you don't have to worry. Beside, this is big amount for you. can you resist it?" Javier gave them the briefcase back.
"i need to talk with my friend."
Dete pulled Hiver's hand and they step backward from Javier. Hiver was quite amused with Dete's action. They was doubtful that they would do the job.
"are you sure, Dete? i don't think we should interfere... let the woman alone." Hiver convinced him while his eyes were kept on Javier.
"Hiv, you nuts? that's lots of money, we can earn that huge amount in our current job! we need the money, to pay rent, to buy foods, stuff and so on..do you still want to refuse it? that is insane..insane..
beside, we just going to find her and take her to Javier. that's easy, after that we would not bother them. it's easy!"
Although it was not really convinced Hiver but he agreed, for the sake of money. They have to get the money, it's really important for them to continue life in this city. Moments later, both of them were back at Javier's place and agreed.
"good, then you shall take this money, it's only the preceding...when you bring her to me, there's more offering."
They were smiling, thinking about the offering that they would get after this.
Autumn was rushing, climbing the stairs to her apartment. As soon as she arrived, she quickly opened the main door and locked it when she entered the apartment. Autumn drew a bit the curtain and peeking at the window, to see whether Javier's men were still looked for her. She felt relieved when there were no one outside the apartment area. She sat on a chair, put her purse on the dining table beside her. She remembered the money that she mistakenly took it from 2 men, and they were chasing her too to get their money back. But, she was rushing and there's no time for her to return them their money. Guilt has shrouded her heart and she hope that they would meet again.
The same night, Autumn was ready to leave the place. She packed all her clothes together with the other stuff on a baggage and then some jewelery, she put it on a butterfly-shape box. Suddenly, she got the feeling that someone was watching over her. Autumn looked through the window, in the darkness of the night, she saw two men, wearing black long jacket stood outside and looking really sharp at her apartment block. Autumn shivered, maybe Javier ordered his men to take her again. She quickly went to the front and stared at the door, waiting or figuring out something to blocking them from breaking-enter her house.
Minutes later,they've already in front of the door. Dete and Hiver knew it was locked, they knocked the door. The plan was not forcing too much, but if she was hard, then they would use the hard way too.
"Autumn, we know that you're inside the house! Now open up!" Dete knocked the door. No answer from the inside.
"look, if you doesn't want anyone get hurt, you better show up! Javier wants you, and make this job easier for us!" Dete said it again. Hiver just quiet and only stood beside him.
Autumn cannot bear it anymore, this is more than enough. She tried to ran through the window but she realized that it was too high, she might be end up her life if she jumped from the window. The knocking started to become harsh and loud, the door's lock almost loose and her heart was beat so fast, she cannot move to anywhere, she was stiffed and only stood there waiting for them to enter.
Finally, Dete and Hiver appeared. Autumn was speechless but then she found a strength and voice up. She took an umbrella as her weapon from them.
"look, please don't hurt me! you don't know that Javier is an animal. He was capable to do anything to me, if you guys bring me to him... i will die! please have mercy, i'm innocent, and how could you to assist him and let me dead? no..please, im begging you! Look, you're the guys that i took the money from you and i'm sorry, i was wrong, i mistakenly took it from you! i was rushing and i didn't realize that i took the money, but it was unintentionally!
Look, i still got the money!" Autumn moved to the dining table, she took her purse and gave it to Hiver. Hiver took it and he nodded to Dete.
"i think she's right, she was mistaken. She didn't spend it. Exactly the same amount when we had it the last time. Dete, i think we should let her go. Maybe, this is true. What are we doing is not right, we cannot assist someone to kill..."
dete ogled his eyes to Hiver, hate it when Hiver softened his heart and tried to do the same thing with him too.
"come-one! maybe she's lying to us! look, bring her to Javier and it's all done! we got the money, we need the money!" his voice became louder than usual.
"we not that desperate, bro! you still remembered that we came here to forget the accusation given by them to me, an assassin, now when we came here and have a new life we will really do the thing that we didn't do back at Pantagonia?"
Hiver questioning Dete now. And, Dete was quiet. He got his point, the ran from Pantagonia, from their fathers because they want to proyect Hiver from being accused as a killer, now they nearly to do the same thing, what's the point by doing this? "because i need money, Hiv." he bowed his head, Hiver smiled and held Dete's shoulder.
"it's okay. at first we will be like this, go through the hardship so many times will produce us a better result. let's forget this, and i think we should save Autumn too. We cannot let Javier take her and kill her." Hiver gave a suggestion and he looked at Autumn. Autumn was a bit confused but she still realized that Hiver were tried to save her.

But, the real plan was, the car will pass by a chasm before the shortcut and they will get out from the car, Hiver will took a knife and have their blood a bit on the car and pushed the car into the hollow chasm. They will find a motel nearby and registered as a different person, next morning, the news of their death maybe has spread and the police will closed the case file and stopped searching Hiver. then, it was really safe for them to go to the airport.
Hiver packing his stuff, and Dete told that he would go to the store room, taking his magic box. Hiver pondered for a moment, how about his dad and Uncle Jack? Dete and he agreed that this plan should knew by themselves and for their parents, they will leave a note stating that they will run away (they didn't tell Jack and Hofman about their plan to pretend dead in an accident). "are you the relatives of Jack-Andre 'Dete' and Jamian 'Hiver' Hofman?" asked one of the officer. jack nodded, then Hofman joined the conversations.
"apparently, we've searching Jamian 'Hiver" Hofman and last night, a witness saw a car fell into a chasm. It was the suspect car. The car exploded and the body was crushed, but the blood was there and when we tested, it was them."

Hiver and Dete walked through the thoroughfare after the airport. They didn't take a cab because they wanted to save the money for food and rent. they are now at Papricorn. Now, they will stay there for a while and try to redeem the time...let the situation cool down and then they will decide when they will show up especially to Jack and Hofman. Hiver finally showed up with his shopping stuff and place it on a small table. He took out the instant noodle and reached a container containing hot water. He prepared both for him and Dete, then he offered Dete to have a dinner.
"very well, i am starving." Dete said spontaneously and sat on the floor. He ate the first bite and quickly threw it back because it was hot and he can't take it. Hiver laughed at him and gave him tissue.
"if we ddin't find a job as soon as possible, your tongue might be blistered forever in your life." he still put some joke based on the incident. Dete was smiling and he admitted.
"you right. For this crucial time, we cannot be so choosy. We will take whatever job we get. When we have enough money, we go home and revealed the truth."
they agreed and continued their eating but this time Dete looked more cautions when he blew the smoking noodle before he ate it.

Wearing a complete car washer uniform, they were determined, the fire in their eyes shining with a brave heart not to fail and...wash the cars. Dete looked quite okay but Hiver still adapting to it.
"what? you never wash you own car?" Dete tried to make a joke out of the awkward situation and Hiver gave him Dete's fake smile style.
"yea...that's funny when you smile like that." he pretend didn't notice that Hiver was mimicking him.
"what? i was copying your smile, your fake smile...look at this, when you didn't want to smile but you have to smile you will be like this..." Hiver made a funny face and tried as hard as he can to irritated Dete.
" i didn't smile like that, Hiv..." Hiver laughed and he blasts Dete with the pipe water,and Dete attacked him with the soap solution used to wash the car. They are all wet and tired after the child-like war and sat in a corner, resting.
"i was thinking, Hiv. If we stayed here longer, and try to collect our money, start some business and when we rich, we fetch our fathers...ask them to stay with us. Do you like it?" Dete looked at Hiver who still ran out his breath. He only nodded.
"why not? let's give them the comfort that they lost 15 years ago..."

It's morning already and dete woke up from his sleep after realizing the hotness of sun shrouded his weak body. Dete had a small exercise a bit and he looked around the store room. His magic box was already in the cabinet and everything was tidied. Maybe Hiver woke up eearly before him and decided to tidy this room up a bit without his knowing. maybe Hiver left early because he needs to go work and supposed he didnt want to ruin his first day with his first salary. Dete understand and he got up, opened the door and left the room.
Hiver was really busy that day but he still remembered last night, and yesterday before the night. It's been so long they didnt hang out together in front of the Plaza and surely Hiver would love to do it again after this. Their practice was awesome, he was amazed by Dete, he could control the magic wand...not like him, he was a bit afraid with his father's magic wand because of the power, mystical. Dete was brave and didnt care, few times dete encouraging him to try but as for now, he wanted to master the tricks which didnt use the magic wand. After all, he doesnt want to make any show like real magician, like his father like his old time at Mundas.
Hiver continued his work and suddenly, one of his colleague came after him. It was Sulin, with her big smile, showing her regular white teeth.
"the boss wanna meet you, Hiv." Hiver smiled and nodded, he left his work and quickly went into the boss' office.
Hiver knocked the door several times before he showed up and he smiled to javier. His big boss. javier who enjoyed talking in phone cut off his line and welcomed his favorite supervisor.
"please have a seat, Hiv.i only want to have a little chat with you,"
Hiver did as he said and deliberately he pulled the chair in front of Javier and sat on it. Javier smiling, and he took a document with his pen and started to signing it endlessly.
"how do you feel? are you happy here?" he asked. Hiver nodded.
"well, yes. i could not ask anything better than this."
"keep up the good work, Hiv. i'll promote you, this is my promise. I like your working style and everything. I want you to handle all the clients and who knows some day you might be sitting in one of those big chairs?" he laughed. Hiver laughed too although he consider that was not a joke, even a bit.
Slowly, Hiver felt proud and he determined to make the wish come true. Why not? it's look fun to be a powerful person. I can have everything that i missed in these 15 years. Javier then shaking hands with Hiver and Hiver left the office, proud and pride.
10 minutes after Hiver gone, Javier receive another guest. He was smiled really sinical when he saw his guest entered his room. He was bald, with a scar on his right cheek, but still look smart with vivid black coat and shining black shoe. He sat on a chair without any words. Then, Javier broke the silence between them.
"I confirmed you that Mathias would coming tonight, as i lie to him about the order. i told him that he could take it tonight and asked it from one of my supervisor, that's the perfect time for you to kill that man, you understood?"
the man nodded his head and laughed (slowly). Javier took out a briefcase and gave it to the man. He opened it to take a peek and satisfied with the ten thousands content in the briefcase. After that, he left the room.
10 pm, Kim was ready to leave the factory but he saw Hiver still working late and he walked to him.
"Hiv, it's late...are you sure you want to settle things tonight?"
"yeah, man. i'll be okay, see you tomorrow."
kim smiled and walked away,Hiver continued to checking all the stocks provided and suddenly a man came after him. The man looked desperate and unsured, Hiver looked at him and they looked at each other.
"can i help you?" he asked the man.
"my name is Mathias. They said that this factory delivering my order, so i want to check whether it's true or not." Mathias told him, but with doubtful voice.
"okay, just give me time i try to check it on the record."
Hiver left mathias alone in the room while he went to the record room to see whether there are Mathias' ordered. He searched it everywhere but seemed that he cannot find the order that was based on Mathias' name. Hiver shook his head and about half an hour later, he returned to his room also the room where Mathias was waiting for him. Hiver opened the door and what was he about to see is the most shocking discovery. Mathias was there, but lying on the floor helplessly, his eyes arent close and still looking at him, tried to tell him something, Hiver looked on his chest, blood was all over the man's body. It's was like he has been stabbing so many times and Hiver didnt hear any movement at all. When he was about to reach Mathias, he already gone, forever...Hiver stopped. He cannot think of anything right there. He still stood, stiff. This could not be worse, there's a killing in his room, where is the killer? What he should do? His mind was really in messy state. But, he took all of his force and reached Mathias' dead body. He gently slapped Mathias' cheek in hope that he just got fainted although he knew that was an impossible things but sometimes,hope could became a reality. But, he never receive any responses from Mathias. The man's body became cold and the blood started to clot. The noises that came from his room attracted the watchman from the front door. He looked up and he found Hiver, the supervisor trying to took a dead man out of the room....
The apartment's door was knocked very harsh and so many times as if a bomb tried to explode outside. Jack quickly prepared his steps and ran to the front door. He was shocked when he saw Hiver, with anxious countenance and blood was all over his shirt. Then, Dete came...with a surprised look.
"what happen to you? what's up with this reddish thing? is it blood,Hiv?"
Hiver quickly jump in and he went to Hofman, hugged him tightly.
"i didnt do it! it wasnt me!" he shouted and hysterical. Jack tried to calm him and struggle with his oldies mighty. Dete also was there, helping.
"what happen to you, boy?!What has happening?"
Hiver started to crying, he couldnt express his feeling. The watchman arrested him and tried to reach some help but Hiver was quicker, he took a vase near him and hit the watchman. that guy was fainted and he ran away, deep inside, he knew that this would spread right away. He maybe didnt do it but no one will listen to him. Everyone will think that he killed Mathias but he never knew the guy, just few hours ago before he was killed.
Hofman felt like a lightning struck to his body when heard Hiver's story. jack and Dete also share the surprise. Hiver didnt look at anyone, he only bow his head, lowest as possible, so many feelings conquering his heart right now. Too many and that was enough, he cannot bear to hear the people talking and mortify him with insults words. His future was doomed. No place for him, not even in this house. If he stayed, he would dragged all of his family inti his unclassified problem.
"Hiv, i believe that you not guilty. You're my son and i know you very well, you would never capable to do this things. We'll figure out together, in this world, there's always a way out. We just need to find it." Hofman tried to calm his son frayed mind. Hiver shook his head.
"it would be not the same! i hate to say this but try to remember, what happened to Uncle jack? he was shouting and screaming that he was innocent but in the end? Did anyone listen to him? maybe we listen to him, but does the police heard him? what about the society? he left the magician world, his only life to earnings...and you too, dad! Now, i was about to receive the same fate as Uncle Jack! Just leave me alone and I'll figure out a way to die!" Hiver left the living room with everyone was shocked hearing his words. Dete then prepared his steps, following the track of Hiver.
Hiver sat at one of the corner in the store room now, he was staring at the magic box located on the cabinet. what's the point if he knew how to spell magic and mastering the magic skills? still, it cannot help him in trouble, just like this one. Hiver desperately tried not to cry but he lose to his fears and worries. He cried. suddenly, someone held his shoulder, tenderly, Dete sat beside him.
"i knew it's hard for you and for everyone. this is my exact feeling when knowing that people will accuse us on the thing that we never did."

Hiver did as he said and deliberately he pulled the chair in front of Javier and sat on it. Javier smiling, and he took a document with his pen and started to signing it endlessly.

"keep up the good work, Hiv. i'll promote you, this is my promise. I like your working style and everything. I want you to handle all the clients and who knows some day you might be sitting in one of those big chairs?" he laughed. Hiver laughed too although he consider that was not a joke, even a bit.

"I confirmed you that Mathias would coming tonight, as i lie to him about the order. i told him that he could take it tonight and asked it from one of my supervisor, that's the perfect time for you to kill that man, you understood?"
the man nodded his head and laughed (slowly). Javier took out a briefcase and gave it to the man. He opened it to take a peek and satisfied with the ten thousands content in the briefcase. After that, he left the room.
10 pm, Kim was ready to leave the factory but he saw Hiver still working late and he walked to him.
"Hiv, it's late...are you sure you want to settle things tonight?"
"yeah, man. i'll be okay, see you tomorrow."

"can i help you?" he asked the man.
"my name is Mathias. They said that this factory delivering my order, so i want to check whether it's true or not." Mathias told him, but with doubtful voice.
"okay, just give me time i try to check it on the record."
Hiver left mathias alone in the room while he went to the record room to see whether there are Mathias' ordered. He searched it everywhere but seemed that he cannot find the order that was based on Mathias' name. Hiver shook his head and about half an hour later, he returned to his room also the room where Mathias was waiting for him. Hiver opened the door and what was he about to see is the most shocking discovery. Mathias was there, but lying on the floor helplessly, his eyes arent close and still looking at him, tried to tell him something, Hiver looked on his chest, blood was all over the man's body. It's was like he has been stabbing so many times and Hiver didnt hear any movement at all. When he was about to reach Mathias, he already gone, forever...Hiver stopped. He cannot think of anything right there. He still stood, stiff. This could not be worse, there's a killing in his room, where is the killer? What he should do? His mind was really in messy state. But, he took all of his force and reached Mathias' dead body. He gently slapped Mathias' cheek in hope that he just got fainted although he knew that was an impossible things but sometimes,hope could became a reality. But, he never receive any responses from Mathias. The man's body became cold and the blood started to clot. The noises that came from his room attracted the watchman from the front door. He looked up and he found Hiver, the supervisor trying to took a dead man out of the room....
The apartment's door was knocked very harsh and so many times as if a bomb tried to explode outside. Jack quickly prepared his steps and ran to the front door. He was shocked when he saw Hiver, with anxious countenance and blood was all over his shirt. Then, Dete came...with a surprised look.
"what happen to you? what's up with this reddish thing? is it blood,Hiv?"

"i didnt do it! it wasnt me!" he shouted and hysterical. Jack tried to calm him and struggle with his oldies mighty. Dete also was there, helping.

The watchman arrested him and tried to reach some help but Hiver was quicker, he took a vase near him and hit the watchman. that guy was fainted and he ran away, deep inside, he knew that this would spread right away. He maybe didnt do it but no one will listen to him. Everyone will think that he killed Mathias but he never knew the guy, just few hours ago before he was killed.
Hofman felt like a lightning struck to his body when heard Hiver's story. jack and Dete also share the surprise. Hiver didnt look at anyone, he only bow his head, lowest as possible, so many feelings conquering his heart right now. Too many and that was enough, he cannot bear to hear the people talking and mortify him with insults words. His future was doomed. No place for him, not even in this house. If he stayed, he would dragged all of his family inti his unclassified problem.

His magic box was already in the cabinet and everything was tidied. Maybe Hiver woke up eearly before him and decided to tidy this room up a bit without his knowing. maybe Hiver left early because he needs to go work and supposed he didnt want to ruin his first day with his first salary. Dete understand and he got up, opened the door and left the room.

------The magician------ Arise From Darkness...
15 years has passed on...
Jack sat quietly on his rattan made chair. He closed his eyes but he still can hear the noise made by the construction workers at the construction site not far from their oldies apartment. Sometimes, he would considered it as a song, many rhythms will lessen his boredom. It's been 5 years since he quit the factory work and Hofman just quit the work a year ago after Hiver got his job as a supervisor in the same factory. What about Dete? He never told him what was his job, but he heard from Hiver that Dete still searching for a suitable job since he graduated a year ago. Hiver also told him that Dete work as a waiter in fast food restaurant while waiting for the interview result, apparently nothing seemed to be positive from the result.
Then, Jack remembered his old time, with Hofman. If the killing never happened, he would be a bit rich and afford to help Dete. But...ah, let bygone be bygone! He, himself has forgotten few of his famous magic tricks due to the lost of his magic box. Whoever rent his old house and found the magic box, would be lucky enough if he/she practicing the tricks. Heavens know that they could become a magician? Suddenly. he remembered his old time at the magic school. Lots of people across the world came to learn magic there, including he and Hofman. Then, they meet a friend, but that friend was not fond of the magic stuff as he more to business management but it was his father wish to see his son became a magician after he, himself failed to do that. that friend told him and Hofman that sooner, he would run away from the school and learn how to be a great businessman. Finally, that friend kept his words...he ran away a month after studying and they never met him until 13 years later, that friend became a successful businessman and one of the richest people at Mundas.
Jack sighing, when he was about to get up from the chair, he saw the glimpse of Hofman and Hiver. Just return from their shopping, as this was Hiver's first salary. He also remembered that dete always put half of his salary in Jack's coffee table, maybe he never told him what type of his job but he never missed giving his dad half of the money. Jack smiling. Then, Hofman and Hiver appeared at the front door, carrying lots of shopping bags and with grinned, Hiver gave all of that to Jack.
"that's many. are you sure, Hiv? i think only you and your dad deserve to enjoy your first salary.not me." jack went to the kitchen, took out the orange juice stored in his refrigerator while Hiver followed him, took out 3 glasses.
"why? you're part of my family, no..no..we're all family. Dete, i've always consider as my brother, and you my father. why not? i'll always share anything that i got with both of you. and my salary, is for all." Hiver took the orange juice from Jack and poured it into the glasses. Hofman heard the conversation and agreed.
'it's been 15 years and dont tell me, jack..you still shy with us?"
jack was laughing and he shook his head. After that, the three of them walked to the corner of balcony and enjoyed their juice there.
"hey, have you see Dete this morning?" Hiver shook his head.
Dete stepped out from the fast food restaurant and fixed his jacket before arresting a cab. He looked at his wristwatch and got into the cab. On his way home, Dete was calculating his earn that day and he didnt satisfied enough with that earn. He still waiting for the call of any good company and offering him a job that he longing for. Nothing seemed to be right after all, Hiver has already got the job, and he still working as a waiter? Actually, dete really-really want to made his dad felt proud to him even once. He knew, he has hurt his dad so many times with his harsh words but believe him, he didnt have that intention. maybe he was stressed put because whenever he looked at the magic box, he remembered everything about Mundas and he remembered the killing. Fortunately, Hiver was always on his side and never felt blase by his tensed condition and like to give him so many moral support that he never found in himself. Dete smiled, how luck he was having such a nice brother. Whenever he needs money, Hiver was there to lend it whether he asked it or not.
And Hiver always told Dete to be nice with his dad, because the only main reason why Jack brought all of them to Papricorn was to protect Dete from being stressed out by the rumors. He wanted Dete to become calm and concentrate to his study, beside Jack was not guilty at all. The killing was set-up by someone who might envy with him or just to make him as the guilty while the real criminal can get away easily. Dete kept the money in his pocket and the cab stopped in front of the apartment yard. He gave some money and went out from the cab.
When he was entering the house, 3 of them were having dinner. Al the eyes were on him. Dete closed the door and put his jacket to a hanger. Hofman grinned:
"what taking you so long? let's have dinner together. today, Hiver got his first salary and he bought all of this."
Dete smiled to Hiver and gave 'i'm happy for you' look,
"congrats! but, I'm tired... tomorrow i'll celebrate it with you, Hiv."
he left to the upstairs. Hofman was looking at Jack and Jack nodded. He understand, Dete was not tried to avoid him, he really-really tired and need some rest.
It was Sunday and everybody really felt that the day have a sun that shone really bright. Not really, but almost...Dete decided to take Hiver out to celebrate Hiver's first salary and the first place was the Plaza. Their favorite place of all time, long ago,when they still a student this was the best place for them to study the homework and assignment. Now, they still hang out there, recalls all the memories of all. Now, Dete has brought some food to eat and Hiver, some literal book to read (obviously only him would read it, not Dete).
"are you really busy,Hiv?" Hiver was a bit surprised when Dete asking him because he was really concentrating on his book. He nodded.
"i know why you ask me that,bro. Because it's been 3 weeks i didnt join you practicing the magic tricks you found on your dad's box."
Dete raised his shoulders and seemed he was a bit sad because Hiver almost looked to deserted the magic tricks that they had learn and practicing for years.
"maybe because you have a fix job now, you think that was useless. A rubbish." Hiver shook his head.
"no, bro! i still like it. i still remember all of them, but you gotta understand that now i have night shift. i cannot go with you,"
Dete smiled, he understood and gave hiver his book back. Hiver took the book but heavily. He knew that Dete was unhappy with the situation but what he could do? His boss has already promised a promotion if he work harder after the first salary. He became the favorite supervisor of all. He need to give his full commitment only to his current job, not the magic stuff. but, still...
"ok, bro..ok! let's practice tonight, every weekend night?" Hiver made a suggestion. Dete dull face suddenly changed delighted.
"OK!" they laughed.
that night, at 12 sharp, Dete and Hiver sneaked out from their bedroom and went to the store room. Dete closed the door tenderly and walked towards the table, Hiver turned on the bulb. Dete took out the magic box from an unused cabinet and slowly he put that on the table. He opened it and took a hat, one for him and one for Hiver (the hat used to be on Hofman and Jack's head), Dete took a wand for him and he gave a white handkerchief to Hiver. They all were prepared. Dete took a book, contained all magic tricks, most of them were synonyms with Jack.
"let's do the harder one tonight," Dete said and he closed his eyes.
Hiver nodded and he also closing his eyes, his heart suddenly beat faster and he opened his eyes for a while, he saw Dete now...unconciuos and shivering beside him. Hiver tried to concentrate as soon as possible.
Dete deliberately lifted his wand and he muttered his magic spell towards the wand, while Hiver kept focusing and he also whispering the same spell with Dete. The wand changing its color from black to purple, striking. A sparkle gas came out from the wand and Dete opened his eyes. He started to pointed the wand towards the chair in front of Hiver and the chair slowly moved and lifted to the air. Hiver opened his eyes and he blew his white handkerchief, slowly he threw the handkerchief to the floor and it turned to be a white dove, flew above them. The chair still floated on the air and Dete's eyes were on it. Hiver caught the dove and he blew it again to turn the dove as the white handkerchief.
Dete gently pointed the wand downwards and the chair followed the wand direction. He whispered the spell towards the wand and the wand changed the color back to black. Hiver fold his handkerchief and put it back in the magic box. He smiled.
"i need to improve more, Hiv." Dete sat on the chair that he just put his spell. Hiver also sat on the floor, releasing his tiredness. He out of his breath.
"i am so tired with this focusing stuff. My mind will go mad sooner..." Hiver took a blank unuseful paper and waved it all over his head and chest.
"but i still think that my skill are improving, i can do the harder one...i can be an expert...maybe we can make a living out of this."

He thought that Dete was out of his mind, this magic things was a stuff that he had forgotten long time ago when his father left Mundas and quit magic. Hiver took the orange juice from Jack and poured it into the glasses. Hofman heard the conversation and agreed.
'it's been 15 years and dont tell me, jack..you still shy with us?"
jack was laughing and he shook his head. After that, the three of them walked to the corner of balcony and enjoyed their juice there.
"hey, have you see Dete this morning?" Hiver shook his head.
Dete stepped out from the fast food restaurant and fixed his jacket before arresting a cab. He looked at his wristwatch and got into the cab. On his way home, Dete was calculating his earn that day and he didnt satisfied enough with that earn. He still waiting for the call of any good company and offering him a job that he longing for. Nothing seemed to be right after all, Hiver has already got the job, and he still working as a waiter? Actually, dete really-really want to made his dad felt proud to him even once. He knew, he has hurt his dad so many times with his harsh words but believe him, he didnt have that intention. maybe he was stressed put because whenever he looked at the magic box, he remembered everything about Mundas and he remembered the killing. Fortunately, Hiver was always on his side and never felt blase by his tensed condition and like to give him so many moral support that he never found in himself. Dete smiled, how luck he was having such a nice brother. Whenever he needs money, Hiver was there to lend it whether he asked it or not.
And Hiver always told Dete to be nice with his dad, because the only main reason why Jack brought all of them to Papricorn was to protect Dete from being stressed out by the rumors. He wanted Dete to become calm and concentrate to his study, beside Jack was not guilty at all. The killing was set-up by someone who might envy with him or just to make him as the guilty while the real criminal can get away easily. Dete kept the money in his pocket and the cab stopped in front of the apartment yard. He gave some money and went out from the cab.
When he was entering the house, 3 of them were having dinner. Al the eyes were on him. Dete closed the door and put his jacket to a hanger. Hofman grinned:
"what taking you so long? let's have dinner together. today, Hiver got his first salary and he bought all of this."
Dete smiled to Hiver and gave 'i'm happy for you' look,
"congrats! but, I'm tired... tomorrow i'll celebrate it with you, Hiv."
he left to the upstairs. Hofman was looking at Jack and Jack nodded. He understand, Dete was not tried to avoid him, he really-really tired and need some rest.
It was Sunday and everybody really felt that the day have a sun that shone really bright. Not really, but almost...Dete decided to take Hiver out to celebrate Hiver's first salary and the first place was the Plaza. Their favorite place of all time, long ago,when they still a student this was the best place for them to study the homework and assignment. Now, they still hang out there, recalls all the memories of all. Now, Dete has brought some food to eat and Hiver, some literal book to read (obviously only him would read it, not Dete).
"are you really busy,Hiv?" Hiver was a bit surprised when Dete asking him because he was really concentrating on his book. He nodded.
"i know why you ask me that,bro. Because it's been 3 weeks i didnt join you practicing the magic tricks you found on your dad's box."
Dete raised his shoulders and seemed he was a bit sad because Hiver almost looked to deserted the magic tricks that they had learn and practicing for years.
"maybe because you have a fix job now, you think that was useless. A rubbish." Hiver shook his head.
"no, bro! i still like it. i still remember all of them, but you gotta understand that now i have night shift. i cannot go with you,"
Dete smiled, he understood and gave hiver his book back. Hiver took the book but heavily. He knew that Dete was unhappy with the situation but what he could do? His boss has already promised a promotion if he work harder after the first salary. He became the favorite supervisor of all. He need to give his full commitment only to his current job, not the magic stuff. but, still...
"ok, bro..ok! let's practice tonight, every weekend night?" Hiver made a suggestion. Dete dull face suddenly changed delighted.
"OK!" they laughed.
that night, at 12 sharp, Dete and Hiver sneaked out from their bedroom and went to the store room. Dete closed the door tenderly and walked towards the table, Hiver turned on the bulb. Dete took out the magic box from an unused cabinet and slowly he put that on the table. He opened it and took a hat, one for him and one for Hiver (the hat used to be on Hofman and Jack's head), Dete took a wand for him and he gave a white handkerchief to Hiver. They all were prepared. Dete took a book, contained all magic tricks, most of them were synonyms with Jack.
"let's do the harder one tonight," Dete said and he closed his eyes.
Hiver nodded and he also closing his eyes, his heart suddenly beat faster and he opened his eyes for a while, he saw Dete now...unconciuos and shivering beside him. Hiver tried to concentrate as soon as possible.
Dete deliberately lifted his wand and he muttered his magic spell towards the wand, while Hiver kept focusing and he also whispering the same spell with Dete. The wand changing its color from black to purple, striking. A sparkle gas came out from the wand and Dete opened his eyes. He started to pointed the wand towards the chair in front of Hiver and the chair slowly moved and lifted to the air. Hiver opened his eyes and he blew his white handkerchief, slowly he threw the handkerchief to the floor and it turned to be a white dove, flew above them. The chair still floated on the air and Dete's eyes were on it. Hiver caught the dove and he blew it again to turn the dove as the white handkerchief.
Dete gently pointed the wand downwards and the chair followed the wand direction. He whispered the spell towards the wand and the wand changed the color back to black. Hiver fold his handkerchief and put it back in the magic box. He smiled.
"i need to improve more, Hiv." Dete sat on the chair that he just put his spell. Hiver also sat on the floor, releasing his tiredness. He out of his breath.
"i am so tired with this focusing stuff. My mind will go mad sooner..." Hiver took a blank unuseful paper and waved it all over his head and chest.
"but i still think that my skill are improving, i can do the harder one...i can be an expert...maybe we can make a living out of this."
Hiver shook his head, reluctant to accept dete's view. He thought that Dete was out of his mind, this magic things was a stuff that he had forgotten long time ago when his father left Mundas and quit magic. Hiver used to think that he would be a magician just like his father, but he quit now. it's impossible, but Dete still believe all that, even though he still can find another job.
That night, both of them were fell asleep at the store room due to their extra tired as they were trying the harder tricks that demanding their focus and energy to combine. Out of that, Dete wanted to spend time with Hiver. Since Hiver was working, they rarely met, rarely talked, and hang out. So, maybe this is the time for him....

----The Magician-----Let's Move On...
Dete stared really deep at Hofman and Hiver but they stood still and smiled to Dete. Hofman held Dete's head and gently stroked it. Dete tried to avoid his hand but Hofman straight away took Dete to his van. Hofman looked at Hiver and his son understand that Dete need a friend now, he quickly went to the van and Hofman made his way to upstairs. He found that Jack was still rushing and a big mess was seen in his room, the newspaper's cut and some old clothes were at everywhere in the room's each corner. jack looked at his friend, and understood the 'we got no more time' look from Hofman. Rush and upset, he took his luggage out of the room and Hofman was following him from behind. He turned off all the switches and locked the main entrance door. They ran to the van but Jack's steps suddenly became mute like he remembered something.
"my magic box, i left it..." he looked at Hofman and his friend only shook his head. Meaning that he couldn't help anything. Sorry, he said. Jack was quite upset about that, it's not because he felt a fool as these thing happened but what was installed inside the box. All his tricks, his tips, his magic tools, all of his notes when he joined The School Of Magic with Hofman, yes.. the contain!
When they were already inside the van and when Hofman started the engine, jack felt really devastated, the box!! His head only kept thinking about the box and nothing else. For instant prove, it had been 30 minutes and Jack still forget that Dete was behind the seat,also in devastated term. But, Dete was different. Hiver tried to persuade him with all his toys, let's play this and that but Dete kept showing him a strange golden wooden box. He said it was a mystical magical box, belongs to his father. Then, he promised that he would take a revenge towards the people who pointed him as a son of a killer.
For sure Dete only knew his father as a magician, not really famous because of the tough competition in Mundas but he just knew it. Just like Hofman, he also knew his uncle's profession. But, suddenly people were rushing to him and jerked him as a son of a killer. How could they be that mean towards a kid? And why his father was called a killer? Who did he killed? Then later, he knew that Sabrina, his father'
s ex was killed and they put the blame on his father. Dete trying not to think the same as the people thought but sometimes he just couldn't help when especially when his father tried to runaway like a real criminal. Dete looked again to the box. He smiled, but not a real smile. This box, he didnt know that i took it. He must looking forward and felt really devastated, i shall keep this box forever....

Hofman helped his son from carrying the heavy bags and ordered Hiver to take Dete out from the car. Then, Jack came with the other stuff. They stood in front of the small but nice apartment in their new hometown, Papricorn.
"only this i can afford for now. it took most of my savings, Jack. at least, you can bring Dete here...away from Mundas and the story."
"what's the point, Hof? i think he hates me since that, could he think that i am the killer?"
"he only got shock and that's all, now we are here. Let's begin a new life, let's not think anything about Mundas ever again. If you think, running away from them is the best thing to protect your son, i will always support you. Now, let's et something to eat!" they walked to the nearest shop but Hofman still asked Hiver to take good care of Dete.
Hiver got into the van and he looked at the box, Dete too. Then, they looked at each other.
"you know that Uncle Jack was looking for this, let's give it back to him." Hiver tried to snatch it from Dete but Dete quickly took it away from him. He then hide it under his jacket. He shouted at Hiver so they he would go away but nothing worked.
"get out from the van, Dete. We've arrived!" Hiver slowly losing his patient. Dete understand and he went out of the car. that's better, Hiver said.
"please, with me.. you dont have to act quiet as you act with your father lately. I am your best friend, not your father. We still can talk and the stuff that you can't talk with him, you can always talk with me."
Hiver held Dete's shoulder tenderly and Dete held his. Both of them walked towards their new apartment and waited for their fathers finishing shopping at the shop.
9.00 pm, as usual, four of them having dinner, a bit late but a dinner still a dinner. Jack and Hofman didnt talk much, they only talk about Hiver and Dete's new school also their new job. They had to find job as soon as possible, and their kids' new school. Hiver also participated in the adult conversation with his child's style and sometimes brought the laughter to Hofman and Jack's dried moaning lips. Hofman tried to impress Dete with his jokes, so do Hiver but Dete only gave them his terrible annoying fake smiled and that offend Jack.
"Dete, could you please stop doing the smile? It's not nice..it's..it's rude!" he screamed. Everybody was surprised to see that. Dete arose from the chair and his eyes, like always, sharp, explosive and lighting staring at Jack.
Jack heart was beated really fast, waiting for his son to blast back and he looked at his demanding eyes. Finally, Dete said:
"why did you run from there, dad?" Jack held his breath and then let it go. He felt relieve because Dete didnt blast him back. Only asking question. But, that was unanswered question. Jack continued eating but Dete was already to left.
"you didnt answer it! why you left Mundas? Is it because you want to get rid of the police and the people who accused you because you've already become the real killer, you killed Auntie Sab and you used me as an excuse to run? Who you want to protect, dad? Your son..or yourself?!" Dete took one of the plate on the dining table and threw it away. jack not surprised but Hofman was. He didnt think that Dete would go that far......
